Thank you to all who attended the PrairieFire Fundraiser last Sunday at the Brink Lounge. We had a good time and raised some money which will help PrairieFire land back on it's feet.  We are still looking for more donations and more members who would like to be involved with the Board of Directors.  Stay tuned for more news. From 5:00-9:00pm Grab a bite to eat and a drink. Be entertained by 2 bands, the Jolly Giant and the Easter Bunny and peruse items in a silent auction.

 

We hope you and your family can join us for music, food, beer and fun! This will be a kid-friendly event. Stay tuned for information on entertainment.

Silent Auction: Do you or your business have something it could donate to the silent auction? Do you have a skill you could teach someone, or an opportunity (like cooking a dinner for 4!) you would like to donate? Email [email protected] to contribute.

New Partnership with Cambridge Auto Repair Specialist (CARS)

We have some exciting news! We have worked out a deal with Cambridge Auto Repair Specialist (CARS) to work on our members vehicles for $75/hour, less than you were paying at our location on Stoughton Road.  They have offered us a very generous profit sharing plan.  The more people who service their cars in Cambridge the more money that comes back to PrairieFire.  We are also working hard to get our fueling tanks up and running in their shop. Hopefully this will be our first of many locations to sell fuel around the greater Madison area.

They have a very good service shop and they can work on all makes and models. This includes diesel and gas vehicles. You must have a current membership with PrairieFire in order to take advantage of this deal.  To renew your membership, click on Becoming a Member to the left.

Due to the location of Cambridge, we are hoping our network of members will help with rides to and from the shop.  If you need a ride send an email to members (at) prairiefirebiofuels.org to ahead of time. Hopefully someone will be in the area to help you out.

Prairie Fire Update

Hello PrairieFire,

A few weeks ago we had a membership meeting and had a lot of discussion about PrairieFire's future.  We had a good turn out and we had quite a few people pledge money to help the cause. We have been working hard to come up with a plan to secure money to pay debt and to find fueling and shop options. We are hopeful we will have a fueling location and a shop to refer you to in the near future.

February 6th - Glass Nickel Pizza (2916 Atwood Ave..Madison)

The bands The Pinch and The Avoca Dos will be playing and some of the proceeds for the event will go to PrairieFire.  It will be a good time and go to a good cause.  The opening band comes on at 10:30.

Major Fundraiser - Beginning of March

Three of our members (Norah Cashin, Mary Eberle, and Kate Moran) have stepped up and are working on organizing the fund raiser  The date a location is not yet known. but we will inform you as soon as we know the details.  If you would like to help with it, or would like to donate to a silent auction please get in touch with Mary Eberle. We will have more information about the fundraiser to come.
